I was feeling pretty lousy one morning then I heard this infectious rockin' upbeat track complete with obnoxious guitar solos and it picked me right back up. So straight forward but so endearing, I guess it's what The Black Keys do best, the carefully constructed subtleties that at times fool you into their catchy simplicity. The Black Keys - Everlasting Lightīrilliant opening groover that I fell in love with the very first time I heard it. Had a blast with these guys in tow on tour and it's safe to say they'll be making the lists of many with whatever they confidently put out next. The potential was always there on stage and now The Chemist start unveiling the goods from studio land. ![]() 'Together' marks the bands fifth album in a decade and Crash Years continues their effortless blend of indie power pop with Neko Case taking the lead on this gem. My band mates will probably rip my tongue out if I say anything more about how amazing I think (know) this band is. ![]() I don't dance, but now I do! The New Pornographers - Crash Years Title track The Suburbs takes the cake for instant modern classic. Wow, album number three certainly didn't disappoint with Modern Man, Ready To Start, Rococo and practically every other track on the record becoming an identifiable piece of genius.
